Rockin' It With Ruby is a non-profit organization located in Barrie, Ontario, Canada.

Through fundraising initiatives, we help to Raise Awareness, Educate, Support and Encourage the Inclusion of people with Down syndrome, across Ontario.

In 2022, Rockin' It With Ruby introduced their bursary program, offering financial support to kiddos, and their families, all across Ontario. What do we provide funding for? EVERYTHING! NO limits.

Our mission is to Support and Empower individuals with Down syndrome and their families. Through our special events and fundraising, we are able to Advocate, Raise Acceptance and promote Inclusivity for those with a lil' Extra!

Inclusion should be the rule. Never the exception.

Down Syndrome Walk brings families together at Fort Willow

The fourth annual Down Syndrome Walk had some 250 registered walkers and a goal of $15,000 — after raising $1,500 from the Rockin’ It With Ruby lemonade stand earlier this year.

Ruby Cordua, 4, was at Sunday’s walk along with mom Ashley and dad Brandon, of Springwater Township.

Funds raised are for Ontario children with Down syndrome. The financial bursaries buy strollers, school supplies, computers, occupational and physical therapy, car seats, high chairs and speech therapy, among other necessities.

Ruby rocks lemonade stand to support people with Down syndrome

Rockin’ It With Ruby handed out cold lemonade and took in funds for people with Down syndrome Saturday in Barrie.

Ruby Cordua, 4, was fundraising at the Bayfield Street Loblaws with friends and family. “We fundraise for children all across Ontario who have Down syndrome,” said Ruby’s mother, Ashley. “We are there to provide them with financial bursaries.”

Nearly 200 people walk in pink to support Rockin' It With Ruby fundraiser

It was a sea of pink mixed in with the red and yellow leaves at Historic Fort Willow for Sunday’s Rockin’ It With Ruby’s annual fundraising walk for Down Syndrome.

Sunday’s Rockin’ It With Ruby fundraiser marked the third year the event has taken place, explained Ashley Cordua, whose daughter Ruby, 3, was diagnosed with Down Syndrome shortly after birth.

South-end lemonade stand benefits kids

with Down syndrome

It was the annual lemonade stand raising money for Rockin’ It With Ruby, a fundraising foundation to help support kids with Down syndrome.

Ruby’s sister, Lola, runs the stand each summer with her brother, Jack, along with friends Madysen, Abby and Katelyn.

Barrie’s Ruby Cordua, who is a Canadian ambassador for Down syndrome, was on hand to help with the handing out of the tasty summer drinks.

The Barrie-based, non-profit foundation offers financial help to families in need. The annual lemonade stand usually raises approximately $1,000, according to Ruby’s mother, Ashley Cordua.

Barrie non-profit charity holds walk to raise money for Down syndrome

BARRIE, ONT. -

Close to a hundred people turned out for the Rockin' it With Ruby walk in Springwater Sunday afternoon.

The annual walk, now in its second year, raises money for those with Down syndrome.

With $3,000 raised so far, the event saw 80 people lace up their sneakers and dress in pink to raise money for a good cause.
